Helpful Hints for Using Your Pedometer

asd
We have received several "broken" pedometers back and when we have tested them, we found many to work correctly. Since we only have a limited supply of pedometers, please follow these helpful hints to ensure you are using your pedometer correctly. If your pedometer is still not functioning properly, please contact marchintomay@slco.org and we will be happy to send you a replacment.

MY PEDOMETER IS NOT COUNTING ALL MY STEPS CORRECTLY:
Make sure that the pedometers are placed at hip level and not further up on the waist. The pedometers count the steps based off of hip movement, and many people are wearing the pedometers a little too high, so they are not counting all of the steps.

MY PEDOMETER KEEPS SHUTTING OFF:
The pedometer will sometimes go into "sleep mode". If you push the reset button quickly, the current steps will reappear. If you hold down the reset button for longer, the steps will go back to zero.

MY PEDOMETER WILL NOT RESET:
Make sure when you are resetting your pedometer, you hold down the button for a few seconds. Pressing the reset button too quickly will not reset the pedometer.

HAPPY WALKING!
