Week Four: Have Fun
'Tis the season to be jolly! This week we are focusing on Having Fun!
Tips:
Studies have shown wonderful health and stress relief benefits related to laughter, even just the anticipation of laughter. Having fun and laughing should be a priority to anyone who wants to be truly healthy.
Week Four Challenges:
Play, sing, laugh, enjoy. Experience the joy, excitement and wonder of the holiday season. Remember what the holiday season was like when you were a kid or look at it through your children's eyes. Complete four of the following challenges, or think of your own challenges to have fun! Remember to track if you completed the challenge on your tracker sheet each day.
-Watch a funny holiday movie
-Read a humorous or happy book
-Go visit Santa at your local mall
-Paint or draw with your kids
-Create a fort in your living room out of blankets or cardboard boxes
-Play board games
-Go to a museum
-Play hide-and-seek
-Go snowshoeing or skiing
-Read a christmas book
-Make mazes or puzzles for each other to solve
-Play card games
-Play the Dreidel Game
-Go to the library
-Create a scrapbook
-Learn to play music
-Visit family or friends
-Write letters to family
-Create a treasure hunt for your kids (leaving clues around the house or yard)
-Do a science experiment
-Create a family book, with information and pictures about each family member
-Volunteer
-Donate items to charity
-Play loud music and dance crazy
-Go for a walk to see the neighbors Holiday lights
-Go Christmas caroling
-Take pictures of the snowy mountains
-Build a snowman
-Decorate the house with Holiday decorations
-Play snow football
-Bake and decorate a cake
-Make a gingerbread house
-Learn and tell each other jokes
-Play basketball or your favorite sport
-Build paper airplanes and have a flying contest
-Make Snow angels
-Go see Holiday lights at:
