Fat Talk

asd
I, for one, have always HATED the "F" word... no, not that one. I'm talking about "FAT". Every time I hear that word I shutter. It's amazing how comfortable we've become disrespecting our own bodies. Think of it this way... would you say to your daughter/mother/friend the things you say to/about yourself when looking in the mirror? It's time we stop the "Fat Talk" and learn to be proud of our bodies. Sometimes, with certain health conditions or risks, lifestyle changes are necessary and may result in weight loss, but it should be about HEALTH not appearance.

Hopefully you've signed up to participate in the Honor Your Body challenge. If you haven't, it's not too late! Hurry and email HonorYourBody@slco.org by the end of today to enroll.

If you have already signed up, way to go! The challenge will begin Monday (February 6th).

In the meantime, click on the following links to enjoy these two brief videos...

*These videos were created by Delta. We are in no way promoting Delta or advocating your participation in their program. We just love their view on body image as it relates to "fat talk" and hope that it speaks to you like it spoke to us!
