10,000 Steps!


Did you know that your day is supposed to consist of 10,000 steps? Did you know that you are supposed to have at least 30 minutes of activity each day? Without walking, you can’t reach 10,000 steps and walking is also a great way to reach 30 minutes of physical activity. What is even easier is that you can split up the 30 minutes into three 10 minute walking sessions. Here are some ideas to add a few more steps into your day:

 

·         Spend half of your lunch break walking.

·         Take the stairs instead of the elevator (You can even walk up the escalator!)

·         Park your car farther away whether you are going to work or the grocery store.

·         Forget the remote! Walk to the television if you wish to turn the TV on or off.

 
If you do these ideas, you will meet your daily minimum requirements without even realizing it!
